I’m using Logic Pro X to create an iPhone Ringtone from within my project. Select the area to be the bounced and turn on the cycle mode. Bounce the project as m4a. Change the file extension to .m4r to set it as a ringtone for your iPhone. Move the file into the iTune “Tone” folder then sync your phone using iTunes. Acoustic Guitar and Vocal Processing using Logic Pro X. The recording was done very similar to a typical Singer/Songwriter demo. An acoustic track needs very subtle compression and limiting. Keep the processing on the track and the main bus to a minimum.

Kick Drum Sine Wave Effect
Logic Pro 9 to record a kick drum. A sine wave with a low frequency is used on another track with a noise gate plugin. The kick drum is used as a side chain input to activate the sine wave allowing the sine wave to play with the kick. This technique is one way to allow the kick drum to cut through the mix.
